Part 1: Tips for an organised kids bedroom

1. Take a child's eye view. Go down to the height of the child and look around the child's room, realising the accessibility of the space and the furniture.
2. Include the child in the process. Treat the organisation of the children's room as a learning process. Try to understand what works in the room and for the child, and what does not. You can assess and discuss.
3. Separate and simplify. Start with the clothes. Separate them by season and avoid storing them all in the same closet. Separate the clothes that no longer fit the child. For older children, use transparent plastic boxes that they can use to store personal belongings, and store them at the highest points in the closet, which can also be reached by the children.
4. Organise from bottom to top. Following the height of the children, start organising the children's room from the bottom up. For example, the most used toys can be stored in the lowest cabinets or on the floor. Less frequently used items can be stored in higher places.
